For the most part, stock prices were headed higher this past week after suffering one of the worst weeks in post-war history. Stock
prices are still well below levels seen before the attack, but it is encouraging not to witness a freefall at this point. Economic data
continues to show slow growth. Consumer confidence plunged, but this group of data can shift dramatically when conditions change.
Economists are now predicting that at least a mild recession is inevitable.
