Economic data was sparse this week leaving market players to trade on rumors, geopolitical events and comments from Federal Reserve officials. Three presidents of regional Fed banks offered their views this week. All agreed that monetary policy was stimulative. Economic data will be more abundant next week although markets are likely to be thin (low volume) going into the Labor Day weekend.
