Bottom Line
The traditional last week of summer is upon us already! But data never stops and this week promises to be a revealing one in Japan and the United States. The avalanche of data from Japan will give us a look at everything from August consumer prices to July unemployment and household spending along with a preliminary look at July industrial production. In the U.S., investors will get a look at second quarter GDP, which is expected to be revised upward from its initial annualized estimate of 2.4 percent. In Europe, however, little data will be available - it is the last week in August after all!
