Conjecture whether the Fed will cut rates is already near fever pitch - and the meeting won't begin until June 24th! There will be little in the way of new economic data this week to contribute to the debate as the heavy flow of new information abates. This is particularly true in Europe where new data slows to a trickle. With investors less inclined to be risk averse and more impatient with low yield, many view investments outside the U.S. as attractive now. This will make it more difficult for the U.S. to fund its massive twin deficits with foreign funds as it has in the recent past.
