Econoday | Resource Center | Treasury Auctions
Each week, the U.S. Treasury auctions 4-week bills as well as 3 and 6 month bills. Two-year notes are
auctioned every month. Five and ten year notes are auctioned quarterly. In the past, the 30-year
bond was auctioned about two or three times a year, but its issuance was suspended indefinitely in
October 2001. The timing and frequency of all Treasury auctions are subject to change.
